Comverse and MMS Announce POS/BSS Partnership
November 23, 2011
Master Merchant Systems – a wireless retail Point of Sale and solutions software company based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada, and Comverse – the world’s leading provider of software and systems enabling converged BSS and active customer management, mobile Internet, and value-added services – have entered into a collaboration agreement that will result in a value proposition that will yield remarkable benefits for wireless retailers.
This relationship partners two best-in-class service providers, enabling a tight integration between Point of Sale and the rest of BSS. Recognized as a global leader in converged BSS, mobile Internet and value-added services, Comverse’s extensive customer base spans more than 125 countries and covers over 450 communication service providers serving more than two billion subscribers. MMS, meanwhile, has long been recognized as having engineered one of the most configurable and highly scalable purpose-built Point of Sale systems ever developed. It is for these reasons that Comverse has chosen to introduce MMS as a POS option for their clients.
Matt Brannon, MMS SVP of Sales and Marketing offers about this news, “The MMS/ Comverse engagement will enable our shared global customers to benefit from a high level of synergy between PoS and BSS.”
Mr. Brannon goes on to say, “The joint MMS Comverse solution addresses a gap in the industry. It satisfies operator need for improved efficiency, stronger financial results, and enhanced customer experience. The collaboration between our organizations brings world-wide best practices to our customers. This combined solution enables our customers to redefine the value proposition to their end customer.”
The expectation of the MMS/Comverse collaboration is that wireless operators will now recognize the benefits of two dynamic services working in sync with the result being an enhanced customer experience through a more efficient, more accurate, and more configurable retail solution.
